On Friday, the BBS Board voted to move forward with 2022 legislation that would allow supervisors to use video supervision in all settings. The BBS stated that urgency legislation is preferred to allow the change to happen before 2023. However, for now, video supervision in non-exempt (private practice) settings will no longer be allowed as of January 1, 2022 (no waiver will be granted). Please stay tuned as more details unfold when the legislature resumes working in January.
