Stefanie Gabler, LMFT 2021 Scholarship Recipient Stefanie Gabler is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who earned her M.S. in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge. She also received a Pupil Personnel Services Credential for School Counseling and a B.A. in Counseling Psychology from CSUN. She spent five years at the LAPD Jeopardy Program where she provided personal, social, and academic counseling for at risk children between the ages of eight through sixteen. Simultaneously, she provided counseling for individual adults and couples, regarding issues such as grief and loss, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and chronic illness, at the San Fernando Valley Counseling Center. Stefanie is currently building her private practice since she became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Stefanie’s modalities include primarily Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. She has endured various challenges throughout her life which give her a unique perspective to work with people with disabilities. Her areas of interest include counseling people with disabilities, as well as children, adolescents, adults, and couples.
