Bio/Statement
I hold a stance of curiosity, always asking questions, and do not make assumptions about my client's experiences. My focus is on bringing forth clients' resources and strengths. I listen deeply and offer a level of compassion to my clients to help them notice what’s going well in their lives, as well as what they’d like to change or improve.
I work with individuals from adolescence to the elderly, either individually or as a couple/family units, who are facing problems such as depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, anxiety, anger, stress at work, cross-cultural/interfaith conflicts, grief and loss, LGBT challenges, and pre-marital conflict.
I bring a wealth of knowledge to my work and use a variety of therapeutic approaches. Some of these include Strengths-based Narrative & Solution Focused Therapy, Mind-Body Attunement (Trauma Resiliency Model and hypnotherapy), Neurobiology Concepts, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Prepare and Enrich pre-marital counseling, Encounter-Centered Couples Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
I am certified premarital counselor through Prepare/Enrich, thus offer assessment and inventories.
Each therapy approach is tailored to my client’s specific needs.
