Bio/Statement
In the fifteen plus years that Stephanie has worked as a LMFT in the mental health field, she has acquired extensive direct client care and administrative management experience.
Stephanie served as the Clinical Director at two residential substance abuse/dual diagnosis facilities. Additionally, her clinical experience includes work in community, school and private practice settings with adults, couples, families, adolescents and children.
With a diverse background that includes a long-time career as an executive in the music industry, Stephanie received her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. Stephanie is trained and/or has been certified in several Evidenced-Based Practices related to addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. Stephanie completed her EMDR training through the Institute of Creative Mindfulness with Dr. Stephen Dansiger.
Stephanie’s therapeutic approach is holistic and eclectic, integrating a trauma-informed, attachment-focused sensibility that combines mindfulness and self-compassion practices; family systems and solution focused interventions. She has worked extensively with creative individuals, addictive disorders, along with relational and complex trauma.
Stephanie is skilled at guiding clients and their families toward uncovering their inner resources through a collaborative and inspired exploration process, utilizing EMDR, DBT, CBT and brief psychodynamic therapy, among other modalities.
Stephanie served on the board of SFV-CAMFT for several years, as VP of PR & Marketing and Co-VP of Programs.
