Membership Meeting with
Mike Jackson, LMFT
Mike Jackson will provide participants with a model for the therapeutic process based on natural differences in personalities. These differences were first identified by Carl Jung, given a classification typology by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and connected to natural differences in temperaments by David Keirsey.
Learning Objectives
· Be able to identify each client's core nature
· Provide feedback that mirrors a client's nature when it differs from the therapist's nature
· Help individual clients, couples & families resolve issues triggered by natural differences without assignment of blame
· Increase retention and the effectiveness of treatment with clients whose natural perceptions, priorities, values and meanings differ from those of the clinician
Mike Jackson has been a MFT in the Pasadena area since 1984. He has used a natural differences model based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator with all clients since 2000. He has written two books on this approach:
"No Fault Couples Counseling" (2011) and
"Natural Differences and the Healing Processes" (2014)
Mike has also written a number of articles on the subject and is a Conflict Resolution Topic Expert for GoodTherapy.org.
