Description
Drumming is one of the most primitive forms of music making, and the drum circle, an ancient form of community gathering, has been a part of most, if not all, civilizations throughout the ages and across the globe.  It has been used in a myriad of forms for ceremonial purposes, celebration, communication, and healing.

Hand drumming is rapidly becoming a more common pastime in western society, and community drum circles are cropping up everywhere, and being enjoyed by people from all walks of life.

Research has shown that group drumming has significant health benefits, including boosting the immune system, lowering blood pressure, reducing stress and promoting relaxation. So, it should come as no surprise that drumming is being used in therapeutic settings all over the world.

Oh yes, and let's not forget that it's fun too! Workshop concludes with a drum circle.

This course is intended for beginning to advanced therapists.
