The word psychotherapy means “care of the soul” (from the Greek psyche + therapeia). While the history of psychotherapy includes theorists and practitioners with a bias against spirituality and religion, there have always been those who found effective ways to include spiritual wisdom in psychotherapeutic work. In recent years, there has been an outpouring of research and instruction in spiritually integrated psychotherapy, and empirical evidence demonstrating the therapeutic efficacy of attending to clients’ spiritual beliefs and practices. This workshop will demonstrate the benefits of integrating spirituality into psychotherapy and practical interventions you can use to better serve clients from a holistic approach. Educational goals include: Understand the benefits of integrating spirituality in psychotherapy when done well. Define a holistic understanding of humans: bio-psycho-social-spiritual. Acquire interventions to ethically integrate spirituality into therapy. Learning Objectives In successfully completing and attending this presentation, participants will be able to: Identify the 3 C’s of spirituality. Explain the 4 components of the holistic model for psychotherapy. Conduct a spiritual assessment for self and clients.

Bianca L. Rodriguez, Ed.M, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, the Founder of You Are Complete and a soon to be Published Author. Refund Policy 

Requests for refunds must be in writing and received by SFV-CAMFT before one week prior to the event. A $2 administrative fee will be deducted for cancellation of a paid event, through the cancellation deadline. There will be no refunds on requests received after one week prior to the event. The President has discretion to issue refunds that do not comply with the policy. To request a refund, email sfv.camft@gmail.com.
