Annual New Years Experiential meeting

with Christy Turek Rials

Note:  Presented In-person ONLY.

"Creative Expression: Art to Support Healing, Self-reflection, and Connection to an Inner Sense of Safety in Our Personal and Professional Lives"

Join us in bringing in the new year with our

Annual "New Beginnings" Experiential workshop.

Sunday, January 8, 2023

Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in the A Window Between Worlds Permission Canvas healing art workshop, facilitated through a trauma-informed lens, with the opportunity to integrate the learning into their clients lives as well as their own.

One aspect that holds us back from engaging in healthy risk taking, as well as moving towards our goals and what we really desire, is not being connected to our sense of safety. The workshop will tie the theme of safety into giving permission to take healthy risks, inviting participants to examine how they can connect to their internal sense of safety in order to help clients connect to theirs.

Exploring giving permission includes identifying supportive resources and how connecting to them helps with healthy risk taking.  During the workshop participants will be empowered to create a tangible reminder to integrate the learning into their personal and professional lives.

After the workshop, attendees will learn about the research based elements of the Arc of Healing and how to structure a healing art workshop experience that mirrors the research findings.

Learning Objectives

In successfully completing and attending this presentation, participants will be able to:.

  1. Identify and experience hands-on healing art workshop facilitated through a trauma-informed lens and have an opportunity to integrate the learning into their clients lives as well as their own.
  2. Identify the research based elements of the arc of healing and apply at least 2 elements to the conceptualization of a healing art workshop.
  3. Identify at least one supportive resource, how connecting to this resource helps healthy risk taking, and create a tangible reminder to integrate the learning into their clients lives as well as their own.
