In this workshop, participants will learn more about common frameworks and common language currently being utilized to transform and decolonize the field of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health. Ideas and tools will be shared on how to integrate healing-centered and equity-driven practices in work with families and in clinical supervision.
Learning Objectives
In successfully completing and attending this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Participants will identify at least 1 tool that can be applied within Reflective Supervision (RS)
- Participants will identify the 4 elements of Indigo Cultural Center's Equity Transformation Framework
- Participants will know the 5 theories that support the decolonization of social services (MH)
Presenter:
Rosario S. Williams, M.A, LMFT has has extensive clinical training in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health. Over the past 15 years Rosario has worked with children & their families using an evidence-practice and trauma-informed lens. Rosario is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Standard Triple P - Child/Teen- Level 4, Triple P Pathways & Enhanced-Level 5, and Managing Adaptive Practices (MAP). Additionally, Rosario is a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) UC Davis Training Partner.
Currently, Rosario is the Family Well Being Manager at Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) where she oversees the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health programs in the San Fernando Valley, Antelope Valley, and San Bernardino communities. At CCRC, Rosario supervises the Trauma Informed Care Services that are part of California's Emergency Child Care Bridge Program, BEES Program (Building Early Education Strategies) which encompasses IECMHC services. In addition, Rosario oversees the Statewide TIC Program, San Bernardino Developmental Care Coordination and Planting Prosperity Program.

Insight Treatment is an adolescent PHP/IOP mental health and substance use treatment program for teens and their families (ages 13-18) and has been serving families for 30 years. We have 7 locations across the Greater LA area and Central Valley.

This course is intended for beginning to advanced mental health professionals.
Course meets the qualifications for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Course evaluations will be sent and CE completion certificates will be awarded to participants that attend the entire presentation and complete the course evaluation within 48 hours of the speaker presentation.

Refund Policy
Requests for refunds must be in writing and received by SFV-CAMFT before one week prior to the event. A $2 administrative fee will be deducted for cancellation of a paid event, through the cancellation deadline. There will be no changes or cancellations received after one week prior to the event (this includes No shows and arriving late to the presentation on the day of the event). The President has discretion to issue refunds that do not comply with the policy. To request a refund, email sfv.camft@gmail.com.
